“The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.” – William A. Ward

We can all remember going through childhood having teachers that made you dread waking up for school in the morning. But more importantly, remember that one teacher who believed in you, who helped you get through the year?  Perhaps that teacher inspired you to pursue a specific career, or just taught you an invaluable life lesson. Maybe you didn’t have one specific teacher who made an impact, but all of them throughout the years collectively helped shape your education.

From Albert Einstein to Aristotle to Gandhi, the greatest accomplishments throughout human history were possible thanks to the teachings of great minds. It’s time that we recognize not only teachers as famous as these, but even those from small town schools that are making a big difference. The impact teachers have is astronomical, and it’s time we payed attention.

I’ve created this blog as a way to show appreciation for those spending their lives improving the future of our society.

I’d like to focus on stories of inspiration, ways to show teachers appreciation, and anything else of interest that’s related to the topic.

Submissions/guest posts are not only welcome, but encouraged!

Happy teaching 🙂
